MACHINEMADE GOD Parts Ways With Bassist, Announces Replacement
December 13, 2007German metal act MACHINEMADE GOD has issued the following update:
"For those who were wondering why we were playing with a stand-in bass player the last months: After his marriage, Sven figured that he had to focus more on his job and family life and that he couldn't spend enough time with and for the band.
"Within the last months our stand-in David Dattler did an outstanding job. He also turned out to fit perfectly in the band and became a really good friend for all of us. When Sven told us his decision, we knew that there could be only one person to join the band full-time.
"We wanna thank Sven for all the good times we had over the last four years and we all wish him the best for his future life and family! We also want to thank David for jumping in and officially welcome him as our new bass player."
MACHINEMADE GOD recently posted fan-filmed video footage from the band's September 1, 2007 appearance at the Rock Station Open Air Festival in Ankara, Turkey. Watch the clip below.
MACHINEMADE GOD's latest album, "Masked", was released earlier this year. The CD is the follow-up to "The Infinity Complex", which came out in February 2006 via Metal Blade Records.
